As Solstice dawns and we look towards the heavens, the star of divinity shines bright. Nights may be dark but we are reminded of the flame within our hearts guiding us onward.
Doing a take off on Rumi, I say the Star we are seeking is also seeking us. The Christic light which is symbolized above is also the light within. The divine shows its face in the beauty of nature, in a neighborhood smile, in the laughter of children. That very same spark is reflected within. Our seeking finds answers and understanding in the quiet star-lit moments when we lovingly commune with our higher selves.
We are living in tumultuous times and the new year dawning may echo more of the same. Our job, as I see it, is to act as leverage to hatred and division, anger, opinions and misunderstanding. We are like the small child at one end of the seesaw, with the Father at the other end. Our joy can counteract the weight of darkness, our love can shine a light into all that lacks love. Gloom and despair can be shattered by our harmony and peaceful insight, our magnanimous hearts.
Blessings for the season of Christmas and great hope for 2024.
With love, Susan

Love it, Susan! We will keep on shining our light! Reminds me of the words of Gandalf: “I found it is the small everyday deeds of ordinary folk that keep the darkness at bay… small acts of kindness and love” in The Hobbit by J.R.R.Tolkien
