Spring has been playing hide and seek, but the flowering trees are on schedule. I love the blossoms, their fragrance and their delightful encouragement.
Along with the multitudinous changes headlining daily, I am also hearing deep-seated desire for change from those who also tread the upward path. The online dictionary used this phrase to make use of that big word: “the tinkling of multitudinous bells from the herd.” Well, that is what I am hearing. It’s not an earthquake but a profound heartfelt knowing that an inner shift is in the process of taking place.
For myself, sometime in April the message became very clear. May first was like a neon sign flashing at me to take a month, re-evaluate, re-vitalize and eliminate the busy-ness. I became determined not to put anything on the calendar that I did not want to do. I am planning small trips in Montana and Wyoming. I am exploring heart, mind, body and soul healing in new modalities. I am returning to spiritual roots and reaching for the heavens. I am seeking new horizons, new opportunities and even new ways of doing what I have always been doing.
I am asking myself lots of questions, planting deep purple violas, driving to wide open spaces and following Rumi’s admonition: “What you seek is seeking you.” All this may sound a bit vague, but it is in the space of ‘not knowing’ that we often find the greatest learning. It is in movement and exploration that we often rekindle our worthiness and let go of the old patterns. It is in this divine spacious interim where we also relearn the art of giving and receiving love.
