It’s been a long and lovely fall in our corner of Montana, with above average temperatures and glorious sunsets. My summer pansies bloomed until Thanksgiving! This photo was taken a few days ago by a friend who lives in Paradise Valley. Although it symbolizes for me the end of an incredibly challenging year, at the same time the warm light of the sun promises hope for the future. The glowing golden pink speaks of an ending and also a beginning.
As 2024 proceeded, I found challenges in temporary feelings of uncertainty, anxiety and purposelessness. Battling those real or even unreal feelings left me at times exhausted. I imagined one step forward, two steps backward, or even the reverse. It really took me getting tired of listening to myself to turn the corner and straighten myself out.
I revisited my visionary pages, where dreams and goals are presented visually on pages rather than a big board (but the same principle). Some pages remained just the same, some needed updating. As I actively reviewed and revised my vision, suddenly joy began to almost erupt! With the help of reminders from a couple of friends, I was able to look myself in the mirror honestly and come back to my real self.
Suddenly I found the phone ringing, direction clarified and projects of all kinds before me. And not to mention the light of Christmas and the New Year being on the horizon. May all your visions and your hearts be filled with hopefulness.
