I’ve been meditating on the peacefulness of this tree welcoming fall. Nature has a lot to teach us.
The morning news has gotten a little overwhelming. The states of the southeast in America are experiencing unspeakable devastation. The states of the Middle East are increasingly threatening and explosive. The state of politics is constantly twisting the truth. As I did my morning exercises, I felt heartbroken and was silently asking what can I do?
Then I remembered the Tibetan meditation called Tonglen. Using your breath as your instrument, you consciously breathe in all the suffering. On the out breath you consciously offer compassion.
And in this way you radiate peace, not unlike the tree.
What a profound meditation, buddhic, activating our inner power and love. Thank you for sharing this Susan ~
Thank you, Mary. Nice to hear from you.
