Creative Visioning in Action

Solstice is upon us heralding the dawning of the Christic Light. A New Year is on the horizon. May our light shine!

This is the glorious Christmas tree in our little town, created along with a sparkling light display, and all paid for by members of the community. The whole effect as you walk or drive by reminds me of a European holiday celebration, or some visionary somewhere else besides this little railroad town in Montana.

It’s the time of year when hope comes alive, generosity arises and compassion and caring emerge. A friend reminded me of the practice of choosing a word for the New Year. I thought of gratitude for sure, but then began meditating on creativity. I decided to choose a phrase instead of just a word and picked: Creative Visioning in action.

It has been my experience over the years that ideas, inspirations, images and messages are meant to be put into action. If we are honored to receive impulses from the divine, we are also responsible to share and express them. Everyone has ways of putting creativity into action including writing, photography, poetry, stories, dynamic prayers, acts of service, care for others or just a listening ear. If you like, choose a word or phrase for the year and implementation will surely follow. I would love to hear your choice.
